God has a vital purpose for this season. Listen to His word: “I know the thoughts & plans that I have for you says the Lord, thoughts & plans for welfare & peace, not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.” (Jer 29:11)
Your final outcome is the Lord’s focus. He is more concerned about your long term gain, even if that means you must endure some short term pain.
HE WANTS YOU TO BE FRUITFUL
Jesus said, “My Father is the Vinedresser… He cleanses & repeatedly prunes every branch that continues to bear fruit, to make it bear more, and richer, and more excellent fruit.” (John 15:1-2 AMP)
When a gardener prunes a rose bush, they cut back lovely roses to make way for a bumper crop of stunning roses a few months later. In this season, the Lord has removed what is good from our lives to make room for what is great.
Your Heavenly Father is pruning your heart so that you can bear much fruit when the season changes from a spiritual winter into spring. He uses the University of Adversity to do a lot of that pruning.
THE UNIVERSITY OF ADVERSITY
The Lord uses tough times: “God led you all the way these 40 years in the wilderness to humble you and test you, to know what was in your heart whether you would keep His commandments or not.” Deut 8:2
We find out what we are made of when we go through fiery trials, we discover in hardship what is in our hearts. The pressure brings our issues to the surface. Ask the Lord to transform you into the person He wants you to be.
THE HEART SEARCHER
Ps 139:23-24 is a precious prayer: “Search me thoroughly, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there is any wicked (that means twisted) or hurtful way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”
Let’s ask the Lord to search our hearts and make us more like Him. Ask Him to soften your heart of it had grown hard, ask Him to give you more love for Him and His people. When we are ready to bear much fruit, the pruning will cease.

EL QUIERE QUE SEAS FRUCTÍFERO
Jesús dijo: “Yo soy la vid verdadera, y mi Padre es el labrador. Todo pámpano que en mí no lleva fruto, lo quitará; y todo aquel que lleva fruto, lo limpiará, para que lleve más fruto.”S. Juan 15:22
Cuando un jardinero poda un arbusto de rosas, el corta rosas hermosas para que salga una nueva cosecha abundante aún más hermosa en meses después. En está estación DIOS ha removido lo que es bueno en nuestras vidas para hacer espacio para lo que es grande.
LA UNIVERSIDAD DE LA ADVERSIDAD
Dios usa tiempos difíciles: “Y te acordarás de todo el camino por donde te ha traído Jehová tu Dios estos cuarenta años en el desierto, para afligirte, para probarte, para saber lo que había en tu corazón, si habías de guardar o no sus mandamientos.”Deuteronomio
Descubriremos de que estamos hecho, cuando pasemos por pruebas de fuego. En la dificultad, descubrimos lo que está en nuestro corazón. La presión hace que nuestras debilidades salgan a la superficie. Pídele a Dios que te transforme en la persona que El quiere que seas.
EL QUE ESCUDRIÑA TU CORAZÓN
Salmo 139:23-24 “Examíname, oh Dios, y conoce mi corazón; Pruébame y conoce mis pensamientos; Y ve si hay en mí camino de perversidad, Y guíame en el camino eterno.”
Pidámosle al Señor que escudriñe nuestro corazón y que nos haga más como El. Pídele que suavice las áreas en donde se haya endurecido, que te de más amor para con El y su gente. Cuando estamos listos para dar mucho fruto, la poda cesará.
