Under Attack

Several years ago, as we were enjoying dinner with friends, my nine year old daughter questioned me out of the blue. “Mummy, why do you always eat with your mouth open?” This was followed by an exaggerated impersonation of how she suggested I ate. While I was growing up, I experienced my fair share of hurt but I never considered myself to be wounded. The day I got my school results set my life on a new course. I was 16 and I did well. Scared

After God delivered me from fear, I realised that I was still afraid of one thing: horses. I like to go for long runs in the countryside and the route I usually took had a new set of visitors – some huge four-legged friends! For a few days, I avoided the offending field. It was easy to argue quite reasonably about this one – horses are much bigger than me and I am sure there must be stories of gruesome…
