“It’s all over! I am doomed…” These were the words that a young man cried out, thinking that his failings disqualified him. Can you relate to these sentiments? How do you react when you mess up? Take a minute to think…
This statement was made by Isaiah. The big issue that he seemed to contend with was his words. He cried out: “I have filthy lips” (Isaiah 6:5). Maybe he struggled with cussing, or perhaps he lashed out at people. Whatever it was, he felt that his profanity disqualified him from being a prophet.
GOD’S RESPONSE
God had a different response to the young man’s problems. He touched Isaiah’s mouth and removed his guilt. Afterwards, the Lord asked: “Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?’”
Instead of running away, Isaiah now knew that he was clean and qualified by the Lord, so he replied, ‘Here I am. Send me.” (See Isaiah 6:5-8). God chose a man who struggled with his mouth to become HIS mouthpiece! The Lord turned his weakness into HIS strength. The devil wants you to feel disqualified but the Lord wants to remove any reproach and raise you up.
OUR PROBLEM
The Bible tells us that our hearts have a problem with deception (Jeremiah 17:9). We often avoid the truth because it is too painful. When we think we may have missed it, we often make one of these three mistakes:
- Dismiss it – we brush it off as though it was not important
- Deny it – we argue or defend ourselves, as though we were not wrong
- Disqualified by it – we sink in guilt feeling stained by our sin
THE WAY TO FREEDOM
However, the key to freedom from our failures is facing what went wrong. We then need to say sorry for our mistakes and finally receive total forgiveness. When God has taken away our guilt, before Him we become blameless!
Colossians 1:21-22 says, “You who once were alienated & enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy & blameless & above reproach in His sight.”
People may not forgive or forget so easily, but remember, it’s the Lord’s opinion, not the views of those around you, that matters. Before God, you become blameless. So get up, and let God you use for His glory.

Esta declaración fue hecha por Isaías. El gran problema con el que parecía lidiar eran sus palabras. Gritó: “Tengo labios inmundos” (Isaías 6:5). Tal vez el acostumbraba a maldecir o tal vez arremetió verbalmente contra el pueblo. Fuera lo que fuera, sintió que su blasfemia lo descalificaba de ser profeta.
LA RESPUESTA DE DIOS
Dios tuvo una respuesta diferente a los problemas del joven. Tocó la boca de Isaías y quitó su culpa. Después, el Señor preguntó: “¿A quién debo enviar como mensajero a este pueblo? ¿Quién irá por nosotros?'”
En lugar de huir, Isaías ahora sabía que estaba limpio y calificado por el Señor, por lo que respondió: “Heme aquí. Envíame a mi.” (Ver Isaías 6:5-8). ¡Dios escogió a un hombre que luchó con su boca para convertirlo en SU portavoz! El Señor convirtió su debilidad en SU fuerza. El diablo quiere que usted se sienta descalificado, pero el Señor quiere quitarle cualquier reproche y levantarlo.
NUESTRO PROBLEMA
La Biblia nos dice que nuestro corazón tiene un problema con el engaño (Jeremías 17:9). A menudo evitamos la verdad porque es demasiado dolorosa. Cuando pensamos que hemos fallado, a menudo cometemos uno de estos tres errores:
• Lo Descartamos – Lo descartamos como si no fuera importante.
• Lo Negamos – Discutimos o nos defendemos, como si no estuviéramos equivocados.
• Descalificados Por Ello – Nos hundimos en la culpa sintiéndonos manchados por nuestro pecado.
EL CAMINO A LA LIBERTAD
Sin embargo, la clave para liberarnos de nuestros fracasos es enfrentar lo que nos salió mal. Entonces necesitamos disculparnos por nuestros errores y finalmente recibir el perdón total. ¡Cuando Dios ha quitado nuestra culpa, ante Él nos volvemos irreprensibles!
Colosenses 1:21-22 dice: “Y a vosotros también, que erais en otro tiempo extraños y enemigos en vuestra mente, haciendo malas obras, ahora os ha reconciliado en su cuerpo de carne, por medio de la muerte, para presentaros santos y sin mancha e irreprensibles delante de Él.”
Es posible que las personas no perdonen u olviden tan fácilmente, pero recuerde, es la opinión del Señor, no los puntos de vista de quienes le rodean, lo que importa. Ante Dios, usted se vuelve irreprensible. Así que levántese y permita que Dios lo use para Su gloria.
