WHY IS MY LIFE SO HARD? |  POR QUÉ MI VIDA ES TAN DIFÍCIL

Have you ever felt like life is too hard? Have you wondered why you’re still in the wilderness? Does it seem like the Lord has forgotten His promises. Like the disciples, when the storm rages, sometimes we wonder if Jesus is really bothered: 

“Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?” Mark 4:38

Joseph had a tough time. He was despised by his own brothers, beaten up, forced into slavery, falsely accused of rape, and thrown into jail. He was just 17 when everything went wrong. You could argue that he spent the prime of his life in prison. 

GOD’S TRANSFORMERS 

We could do a ‘before’ and ‘after’ sketch of Joseph. Before the trials began, you could be forgiven for describing him as self-absorbed and arrogant. As he exited those awful days of affliction, I think we would all agree that he was wise, considerate and kind. 

God is never the author of anything evil but He uses tough times to change us. Joseph was transformed through the hard times. As a result, when promotion eventually came knocking on Joseph’s prison door, he was ready for a major promotion.  

PRESSURE CAN BE POWERFUL 

Pain and hardship moulded Joseph into a man of great character and compassion that was capable of leading an entire nation to safety.

It wasn’t just Joseph who needed a process to perfect his character. God used the years of remorse and regret to do a work in his brothers too. After all, they had incredible calls on their lives too and needed to become men who could carry the anointing and lead others. 

The same Judah who suggested they sell Joseph and profit out of his suffering, offered to ransom himself for Benjamin 22 years later (Genesis 43:9). He was a different man.  Life changed him into an honourable and selfless person, someone God could use.

ON STAFF

2 Corinthians 4:17 says that: “Our light affliction… is working for us…”  When someone works for me, they are charged with fulfilling my requirements.  This verse says that pain and pressure actually work for us and not against us. Trials transform us.

While God does not create hardship, He uses difficulty and disappointment to get us ready for His highest purposes. In fact, a really tough life is often evidence that God had a high call for you. You see, He uses testing times to grow love and maturity. He uses the strains of a difficult life to prepare us for the abundant life. 

NEVER ALONE

However tough it gets, remember that your heavenly Father is with you. Just like Jesus was with the disciples during the storm, so the Holy Spirit is with you through every valley and wilderness. 

In the process, He is preparing you for your destiny so that when your day dawns, you will be ready to rise up strong. Has sentido que la vida es muy dura? Te has preguntado porque todavía estás en el desierto? Te parece que el Señor se ha olvidado de Sus promesas. Como sus discípulos, cuando estaban en medio de la tormenta, muchas veces nos preguntamos si Jesús realmente está prestando atención:

“Maestro, no te importa que perecemos?“ Marcos 4:38

José pasó tiempos difíciles. Él fue odiado por sus hermanos, fue golpeado, lo empujaron a esclavitud, lo acusaron falsamente de una violación, y lo tiraron en la cárcel. El solo tenía 17 cuando todo empezó a salir mal. Usted puede pensar que él pasó lo mejor de su vida en prisión.

LOS TRANSFORMADOS POR DIOS

Si hacemos un dibujo del “antes” y “después” de José. Antes de qué empezaran las tribulaciones, podríamos pensar qué era una persona arrogante y egoísta. Y tan emocionante que puedan parecer esos días de aflicción, yo pienso que deberíamos de acordar que era sabio, considerado y bondadoso.

Dios nunca es el autor de nada malo, pero el usa tiempos difíciles para cambiarnos. José fue transformado durante los tiempos arduos. Como resultado, el eventualmente fue promovido y salió el José de la prisión, a una promoción gigante que ya estaba lista para él.

LA PRESIÓN PUEDE SER PODEROSA

El dolor y la dificultad moldeó a José en un hombre de gran carácter y compasión que lo habilitó para guiar a una nación entera a seguridad.

No sólo José era el que necesitaba un proceso para perfeccionar su carácter. Dios usa años de remordimiento y arrepentimiento para hacer un trabajo también en sus hermanos. Después de todo, ellos también tenían un gran llamado para sus vidas y necesitaban convertirse en los hombres que podían cargar la unción para guiar a otros.

El mismo Judá quien sugirió vender a José y hacer ganancia de su sufrimiento, ofreció dinero para rescatar a Benjamín 22 años después (Génesis 43:9). Él era un hombre diferente. La vida le había cambiado a un hombre honorable que era humilde y que podía ser usado por Dios.

EN EL EQUIPO

2 Corintios 4:17 dice: “esta leve tribulación… Trabaja en nosotros…“ Cuándo alguien trabaja para mí, ellos cambian los requerimientos de cumplimiento. Éste versículo dice que el dolor y la presión trabaja en nosotros, no en contra nuestra. Tribulaciones nos transforman.

Mientras que Dios no crea lo duro, el usa lo difícil y la decepción para llevarnos a nuestro propósito al máximo. Él usa las pruebas para crear resiliencia y madurez. El usa lo difícil de la vida para prepararnos para una vida abundante.

NUNCA SOLO

No importando lo duro que sea, recuerda que tu Padre celestial está contigo. Así como Jesús estuvo con los discípulos en la tormenta, el Espíritu Santo está contigo en medio de el valle y el desierto.

En el proceso, Él te está preparando para su destino, para que cuando tu día amanezca, estés listo para levantarte fuerte.
