An emotional meltdown is worse than sickness according to scripture: “The spirit of a man will sustain him in sickness, but who can bear a broken spirit?” (Pr 18:14)
If we don’t deal with disappointment and pain, it will prevent us from effectively pursuing our God-given purpose. Unresolved wounds cause the following 4 problems:
1. LIMP – Unhealed hurts slow us down and make us limp our way through life. It opens the door to sadness and heaviness. Proverbs 12:25 says, “Anxiety (heaviness, sorrow) in the heart of man causes depression.”
2. OVER-SENSITIVITY – When we haven’t dealt with past pain, we are over-sensitive to life’s knocks. If relatively insignificant episodes cause reactions, ask the Lord to deal with old hurts.
Not only that, when we have buried pain, we will struggle to receive correction because it will feel like rejection. “He who refuses & ignores instruction & correction despises himself” Pr 15:32 Amp
3. SOUR – Unhealed hurts make us suspicious and sour. We end up negatively interpreting the actions of others.
Prov 14:30 (Amp) says, “A calm & undisturbed mind & heart are the life & health of the body, but envy, jealousy & wrath are rottenness of the bones.”
4. TRUST-BUSTED – Betrayal can make it tough to trust which causes us to pull back. You might say you trust God, but we demonstrate that we trust God by trusting people.
Hebrews 10:38 says, “Now the just shall live by faith; but if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.”
LOST POTENTIAL
The four problems above spell LOST. When are hearts aren’t healed, we can miss what God has in store. Unresolved pain can lead to lost potential, lost promises and lost promotions.

Sino enfrentamos la decepción y el dolor, nos retendrá de manifestar nuestro potencial divino efectivamente. Heridas que no han sanado resultan en 4 situaciones:
- COJEAR– heridas no sanas nos hacen cojear en la vida y nos atrasan.
- DEMASIADO SENCIBLE– cuando no hemos enfrentado las heridas del pasado, podemos ser demasiado sensibles a los golpes en la vida. Si epidosios insignificantes causan reacción, pregúntale a Dios como sanar heridas viejas.
No solo eso, cuando enterramos el dolor, tendremos problemas con corrección porque lo vemos como rechazo. “El que tiene en poco la disciplina menosprecia su alma; Mas el que escucha la corrección tiene entendimiento.”Proverbios
- AMARGURA– las heridas que no están sanas nos hacen sospechosos y amargados. Terminamos juzgando negativamente las acciones de otros.
“El corazón apacible es vida de la carne; Mas la envidia es carcoma de los huesos.”Proverbios
- CONFIANZA ROTA– traicion hace que sea difícil confiar y causa retroceso. Podemos decir que confiamos en Dios, pero lo demostramos confiando en personas.
Hebreos 10:38 dice: “Mas el justo vivirá por fe; Y si retrocediere, no agradará a mi alma.”
POTENCIAL PERDIDO
Cuando el corazón o está sano, no podemos experimentar todo lo bueno que Dios tiene para nosotros. Dolor no resuelto, nos lleva a potencial no desarrollado, promesas perdidas y promociones que se van.
Hay una nueva estación que está empezando. Por favor no traigas el dolor del 2020 en el Nuevo año. Trae todo dolor delante del Señor y pídele que te sane profundamente.
