I THINK I’VE BLOWN IT

By 12th April 2019 May 2nd, 2019 Uncategorised

Do you feel like you may have blown it one time too many? Perhaps a critical decision has left you on the wrong track. Maybe you fear that you have missed God’s purposes for your life?

It could be as a result of your own decisions, or even because of someone else’s actions. Maybe you know that God if good but you think that you may have gone one step too far this time.

WHEN THINGS GO WRONG

All responsible major corporations employ what is called contingency planning. Senior management teams periodically rehearse procedures to address this question: what will we do if things go wrong?

Protocols are put in place to ensure organisations can recover in the event of major mistakes or unforeseen problems. The vast majority of companies will have had to employ these plans at one time or another.

GETTING BACK ON TRACK

Matthew 7:11 says, “If you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him.”

If secular leaders know how to get their companies back on track after a crisis, don’t you think God knows how to redirect your life after a difficulty or diversion?

The famous verse in Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you…” It does not say ‘plan’, implying that there is just one plan. It says ‘plans’ because the Lord has a whole host of contingency plans! God is the greatest at pulling us back into His purposes.

THE TURN AROUND

No matter what has happened, God is able to work all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). Remember, when He restores, He makes things even better than the way things were. The Lord’s Plan B (or even C!) is far beyond all that you could ask or imagine.

When I look back over my life, I have made a catalogue of mistakes and yet each time I fell or failed, God turned it around for my good and for the benefit of others.

THE POWER OF SURRENDER

All you need to do is surrender again. Entrust your heart and life into His hands and believe that He has the best in store. I do not know how He does it, but our God makes a way where there seemed to be no way.

If you are carrying regrets, guilt or disappointments, God wants to heal your heart and set you back on track. I encourage you to get our books and come (and keep coming) to Healed for Life. You will be amazed at what how good it feels to be free.
