What is your inner interpreter saying to you? | ¿QUÉ LE DICE SU INTÉRPRETE INTERIOR?

A while back, as I was flying to America, I was praying and asking the Lord to refresh
my heart. I had been weary so I brought every care to Him in prayer. Afterwards, I was
still aware of some sadness.

I did not know why so I asked God, “If all is well, then why am I like this?” Almost
instantly, the Spirit of God revealed to me that I was believing the lie that life was tough
and hard. I was astonished. It was true.

You see, I had been working hard for years to establish our ministry in America.
Bringing Whole Heart Ministries to the US has not been easy. The enemy hates this
ministry because precious people, marriages, and families are restored and churches
get built.

As a result, the devil has tried to oppose us at every turn. However, God is faithful and
that year was no exception. He had opened doors and shown us favor. He had blessed
us and refreshed me in His presence over and over again.

The Truth Can Set You Free, Immediately!

I repented and then declared the truth to myself: “Life is good!” Almost immediately,
every source of sadness dissipated and joy filled my heart. I worshipped the Lord and
enjoyed my newfound freedom.

Then the Lord showed me that this is a common problem among God’s people. We
believe all sorts of lies! Some creep in by a process of osmosis. Things happen around
us and we draw inaccurate conclusions.

People may say things that sow negative seeds in our souls. The general atmosphere
of the world influences our attitudes and opinions. Some lies are rooted in soul wounds.

What Lies Are You Believing?

If you have been treated like a second-class citizen, you may end up believing that you
are inferior. If your parents only praised you when you succeeded, you might believe the
lie that your value is based on your ability. If you were abused, you may think that you
are dirty. If a teacher put you down, you may assume that you are stupid.

Jeremiah 17:9-10 says, “The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked;
who can know it? I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind, even to give every man
according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.”

Just as your heart is capable of love, so your heart can – and probably does – lie to you.
If you believe a lie, then you will interpret everything that happens through that lie.

Interpreting Life Through Lies

For example, if I believe the lie that my life is tough, then I will interpret everything that
occurs through that lie. Just a few hours after God revealed that I had been believing
the lie that life was hard, I landed in Miami.

As I switched my phone back on, I received a text from the lady who was due to pick me
up. She explained that she had a problem with her car. If I had still been believing the
lie, I would have seen that situation as further evidence that life was hard.

Instead, my heart went out to this lady and I hoped her vehicle would be repaired
quickly. With joy in my heart, I stopped for a coffee and then ordered a taxi.

God Knows Our Hearts

Why don’t you ask the Lord to reveal any lies you have been believing, if there are
wounds behind the lies, ask Him to heal your heart. Then take hold of the truth and
declare it over your day, and your life!

Hace un tiempo, mientras volaba a Estados Unidos, oraba y pedía al Señor que refrescara mi corazón.  Había estado cansada, así que le presenté todas mis preocupaciones en oración.  Después, todavía sentí algo de tristeza.

No sabía por qué, así que le pregunté a Dios:  “Si todo está bien, ¿por qué entonces me siento así?”  Casi al instante, el Espíritu de Dios me reveló que estaba creyendo la mentira de que la vida es difícil y dura.  Estaba asombrada.  Eso era cierto.

Verá, había estado trabajando duro durante años para establecer nuestro ministerio en Estados Unidos.  Traer Whole Heart Ministries a los EE. UU. no ha sido fácil.  El enemigo odia este ministerio porque se restauran personas, matrimonios y familias preciosas y se construyen iglesias.

Como resultado, el diablo ha tratado de oponerse a nosotros en todo momento.  Sin embargo, Dios es fiel y ese año no fue la excepción.  Había abierto puertas y nos había mostrado favor.  Él nos había bendecido y me había refrescado en Su presencia una y otra vez.

¡La Verdad Puede Hacerlo Libre, Inmediatamente!

Me arrepentí y luego me declaré la verdad:  “¡La vida es buena!”  Casi de inmediato, toda fuente de tristeza se disipó y la alegría llenó mi corazón.  Adoré al Señor y disfruté de mi nueva libertad.

Entonces el Señor me mostró que este es un problema común entre el pueblo de Dios.  ¡Creemos todo tipo de mentiras!  Algunos llegan mediante un proceso de ósmosis.  Suceden cosas a nuestro alrededor y sacamos conclusiones inexactas.

La gente puede decir cosas que siembran semillas negativas en nuestras almas.  La atmósfera general del mundo influye en nuestras actitudes y opiniones.  Algunas mentiras tienen sus raíces en las heridas del alma.

¿Qué Mentiras Está Usted Creyendo?

Si le han tratado como a un ciudadano de segunda clase, puede terminar creyendo que eres inferior.  Si sus padres sólo le elogiaron cuando triunfó, es posible que crea la mentira de que su valor se basa en su capacidad.  Si abusaron de usted, puede pensar que está sucio.  Si un profesor le menospreció, puede asumir que es estúpido.

Jeremías 17:9-10 dice:  “Engañoso es el corazón más que todas las cosas, y perverso; ¿quién puede conocerlo?  Yo, el Señor, escudriño el corazón, pruebo la mente, para dar a cada uno según sus caminos, según el fruto de sus obras”.

Así como su corazón es capaz de amar, su corazón puede mentirle, y probablemente lo haga.

Si usted cree una mentira, entonces interpretará todo lo que sucede a través de esa mentira.

Interpretando La Vida a Través de Mentiras

Por ejemplo, si creo la mentira de que mi vida es dura, entonces interpretaré todo lo que ocurra a través de esa mentira.  Apenas unas horas después de que Dios me revelara que había estado creyendo la mentira de que la vida era dura, aterricé en Miami.

Cuando volví a encender mi teléfono, recibí un mensaje de texto de la señora que debía recogerme.  Explicó que tenía un problema con su coche.  Si todavía hubiera creído la mentira, habría visto esa situación como una prueba más de que la vida es dura.

En cambio, mi corazón estuvo con esta señora y esperé que su vehículo fuera reparado rápidamente.  Con gozo en el corazón, me detuve a tomar un café y luego pedí un taxi.

Dios Conoce Nuestros Corazones

¿Por qué no le pide al Señor que le revele cualquier mentira en la que haya estado creyendo?  Si hay heridas detrás de las mentiras, pídale que sane su corazón.  ¡Entonces tome la verdad y declárela sobre su día y su vida!
